For kids ages 5 through 7
At Impact Music Camp, beginner students gain experience with the fundamentals of music through exploring different genres, playing ukulele, and learning percussion. This week-long camp is great for kiddos who have never played instruments before, and want to unleash their musical curiosity!

Refund Policy:
If your plans change, you can receive a full camp refund until April 30, 2026. Changes made after April 30 and up to one week prior to the camp start date, 50% of your camp fee will be refunded. Refunds are not available if changes are made in the 7-day time period prior to the camp start date. To request changes, please email hello@queenbeemusicassociation.org. Camp Dates & Location:
There are two options for Impact Music Camp. Week 1 is held June 1-5, 2026 and Week 2 is held June 8-June 12, 2026. Registrations for each week of camp is separate, and campers may register for more than one week. Themes are different from week to week, though the instrument focus does not change. Camp is held at Queen Bee Music Association, 1596 Pacheco Street, in the Aspen Plaza Building. When you arrive, look for signs for Queen Bee's Check-In Table.
Drop Off:
Impact Music Camp is a closed campus camp. We require that you sign your child in & out at the check-in table every day with a staff member. Drop off is rolling, anytime between 9am and 10am. So if your camper needs a little extra sleep one day, they won’t miss crucial activities.
Rolling Pickup:
Students may be picked up from camp starting at 2:30PM and as late as 3:00PM. During this time, students will have the option to participate in outdoor games, practice time, and art activities.

All instruments and materials are provided for Impact Music Camp. But, please bring:
Water bottle
Lunch & Snacks
Light jacket or raincoat
Sunscreen
Lunch & Snack:
Please pack two snacks for your student each day. Snack time occurs twice each day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon.
All campers should pack a bag lunch every day of camp. We will eat lunch at 12:00 pm. Keep in mind campers won’t have access to a microwave, so pack ready to eat foods and utensils if needed. There is no refrigeration available.
Camp Performance:
On the Friday of each week, there will be a short performance from 2:30-3pm. This casual setting is the designed to get kids excited about sharing their work with their families. Participation is not required, and if kiddos are experiencing performance anxiety, our teachers work with them to find a role they are comfortable filling.

Brian Nelson (aka Teacher B) is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston where he studied a variety of instruments and musical styles. He has played music for more than 25 years and taught music for fifteen. From West African drum and dance to ukulele sing alongs to guitar lessons for all ages, Nelson brings his passion for music and life into the classroom. In addition to teaching and playing music, he is also the co-found and Artistic Director of Queen Bee Music Association.
Georgie Hahn has been teaching singing and ukulele with Queen Bee since 2024. She is a performer, educator, and film industry professional. As a performer, her unique voice and songwriting style has mesmerized audiences under LAMBY, with various folk duos with friends, and with pop artist Lily Pinto. As a film industry professional, she has worked on projects around the world, including London, Amsterdam, and right here in New Mexico.
Ry Mohon began teaching with Queen Bee in 2024, teaching both kids and adults. He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, and his teaching approach centers around providing students with foundational skills, so they can confidently explore their own musical interests while remaining as a resource and guide for them on their journeys. In addition to teaching guitar and ukulele at Queen Bee, he is also reading tutor at Reading Quest and enjoys building guitars and amplifiers.
Violet Briggs (camp administrator) first joined the Queen Bee team as a Movement Instructor for Queen Bee's 2022 summer camps and couldn't stay away. Since then, she has been assisting Sarah-Jane at the weekly Kids Sing Along classes and providing administrative and marketing support, including running Queen Bee's social media channels. She has been inspired by all of these music-learners around her and is excited to finally learn to play guitar.
